About Frances
Hi, I’m Frances.
I’m a qualified counsellor offering compassionate online support for grief, bereavement, and loss.
Grief can affect people in many different ways, and each experience is unique. I aim to offer a steady, supportive presence as you explore what you are going through.
Understanding grief
A safe space to be heard
Whatever brings you here, your experience is valid. You don’t need to minimise it or compare it to anyone else’s. This is a space where your grief can be acknowledged and your story can be heard.
Your grief is unique
Grief is deeply personal, and no two experiences are ever the same. What you are feeling may not look or sound like someone else’s grief, and that does not make it any less valid.
Grief can take many forms and is often more complex than others may realise. It can affect your emotions, relationships, routines, sense of identity, and the way you experience the world around you.
Why I work with grief
My interest in grief counselling comes from both my personal experience of loss and the clients I have worked with over the years.
Having experienced grief myself, I understand how deeply it can affect every part of life, and how disorienting it can feel when everything familiar changes.
Grief does not follow a set path. It can look different for everyone, and it often takes time to find a way of living alongside it.
This understanding is what led me to specialise in supporting people through bereavement and other forms of grief.
Professional membership and training
I am an Accredited Registrant Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work in accordance with their professional code of ethics, ensuring safe, ethical, and confidential practice.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, alongside specialist training in grief and bereavement support, including with the Foundation of Infant Loss. My experience and training enable me to offer informed and sensitive support to people navigating loss and its wider impact on life.

Working together
What sessions are like
If you are here because you are experiencing loss, you do not need to explain or justify what you are feeling.
Conversations may move between what is happening now, memories of your loss, and how grief is showing up in your life. There may also be pauses or quieter moments as we go at your pace.
My role is to listen and support you as you explore your grief in a way that feels natural for you.
Ready to take the next step?
I offer a free 20-minute consultation to talk briefly about what has brought you here and whether working together feels like a good fit.
You can contact me by email, phone, or via the contact page.
